| Sadili Oval Tennis Academy, partnering with the Professional Tennis Register (world's largest tennis teacher’s organisation), Global Sports Alliance, UNEP, Safaricom and Virgin Atlantic Airways officially opened its doors to the annual East Africa Safari Junior Tennis Camp and Tournament on 3rd August 2009, and was successfully ran for two weeks under strict & coordinated supervision from professional coaches from U.S.A, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya and closed on Saturday,15th August with a prize giving ceremony for winners of the East Africa Safari Junior Open.
Celebrating its tenth year running, the camp attracted 114 juniors aged between 5 and 18 years from all over Kenya, Uganda Nigeria, Ethiopia, Sudan, England, U.S.A, Scotland, Tanzania, Burundi, South Africa and Germany who have had the opportunity to undergo a unique and intensive training program.
Speaking at the event, a radiant George Muga (Coordinating Coach) said, "The turn- out has been amazing and growing each year. The players have shown great determination and devotion to tennis in a bid to improve their tennis rankings. Beginners have also not been left out, as they aspire to learn the sport that has made many reach great heights."
