The Tennis for Africa Cup is the largest single tennis network in Africa, that provides a platform to socialize as well as improve standards through select tournaments at different levels, for which points and ranking are acquired. These events take place in various hotels, homes, clubs and schools, mostly in East Africa, but open to other parts of the continent. It forms a unique exchange program for youth and coaches in the continent. Through various partnerships, Tennis Africa Cup is recognized in 127 countries around the world. TAC is non-political and remains committed to providing equal opportunity for all to prosper as well as inspire excellence, discipline and fairness, in the spirit of olympism.
How to Register
- Tennis for Africa Cup, P. O. Box 8477, Nairobi 00100 or by e-mail on tennis@tennisafrica.info or through the website (http//:www.tennisafrica.info). You must have a registration card with your unique number for Kshs. 400 (US$5 only) per year, which will give you a chance to enter MOST tournaments free of entry fee. Players who cannot afford shall be given an opportunity to enter free on successful application. Their entry fee shall be paid for by a willing sponsor.
- Entry to select tournaments shall be free for all registered players each calendar year. Your player registration card will allow you entry to all the specified tournaments in the official calendar. Some tournaments also offer meals and accommodation at special rates or sponsor fully, so make sure you keep up with updates on the website.
- All players will be ranked according to the tournaments that they play in. You will be able to see your latest ranking online anytime you want. Fun/social events are not ranked.
- Sign in on the players site in our website and start letting people know about you
- Awards include: Team of the year, Player of the year, Education Award, Peace Award, Development Award, top school, top association and top club.
- Levels of Tournaments:
Level C and D - for junior who play singles only in Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, and Under 14. Many of these players are beginners and intermediate players. Level B: strictly for the intermediate and advanced juniors. Level A: Senior and top level junior events
- Your association, school or club may also apply to have their tournament rated and we would be happy to include them.
